The Introductory Czech Audio-Oral course in five units with a vocabulary of everyday situations focuses on the correct principles of Czech pronunciation within texts and conversation; furthermore, it initially acquaints the student with principles of the Czech grammar - It enables an easier introduction to Czech studies, especially when you might otherwise have greater initial diffculties, or reservations regarding Czech grammar. It will be appropriate for self-learners and those studying Czech in a foreign language environment. Preconditions for successful work are maximum use of pictures along with all tape recordings. Aural comprehension and correct sound expression should be primary. - To assist in understanding questions about grammar it is appropriate to use explanations in English (pages 69-77). In addition, this book will provide a guide for correct pronunciation at the end of the course (pages 85-90). - All the recorded parts of the units are marked with numbered pictographs.
